We live in LOVE RELATIONSHIPS towards each other and fellowship regularly like the early church did in the book of Acts. 

Powerhouse is an AIRCRAFT CARRIER in God’s Kingdom waters!  Everybody enjoys being INVOLVED on this end-time warship.

Some are flying out to carry out a mission. Others are watching the radar, preparing the food, or tending to the engine room.

WHY THE NAME POWERHOUSE?

The name was part of a blueprint that God gave to this ministry. Therefore it carries authority in the spiritual realm. The two components of this name (Power + House) help us to understand what God meant when He gave this name.

Power! Jesus promised his followers power to be his witnesses. Acts 1:8 You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. The word for power here is the Greek word dunamis – meaning miracle working power!
House: In the beginning of the New Testament church, people primarily gathered in houses. Acts 2:46 – And continuing with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they shared food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favour with all the people.
In Rom 16:5 we read that Paul greeted the church that is in their house.

The two main gatherings of believers in Powerhouse are the House Churches (Powerhouses) gathering during the  week in houses and the CELEBRATIONS – the bigger gathering of believers on Sundays.

The House Church (Powerhouse) is a group of believers who are gathering regularly in a house. But it this is no ordinary church. It is a gathering where the miracle-working power of God is always present.

In the kingdom of God there will always be growth. Therefore multiplication of house churches will always take place. Kingdom people who carry the mighty power of God within them, will be changing the atmosphere of every house they enter. (Acts 2:47).

    PRESENCE – We experience the presence of God in a special way, and we are constantly being changed by the mighty power of God. As we read from the Word of God, the Bible comes alive in our midst and we hear God’s voice clearly.
    LOVE – Our fellowship means to learn to know, appreciate and love each other as family.
    GIFTS – The gifts of the Holy Spirit flows freely. We see people healed, they are experiencing answers to prayer and miracles are happening amongst us!
    DISCIPLES – Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit people are formed to be disciples of Jesus Christ and to take the message of joy and salvation to their friends, colleagues and families.

    Our dream is to see powerhouses (house churches) within reach of every person – house churches established all over the world!

CELEBRATIONS

At our weekly Celebrations on Sundays all the powerhouses (house churches) in a region or city gather to celebrate and worship our King! We experience His presence in a tangible way, and we are re-fuelled for the rest of that week.
For approximately 1½ hours we enjoy lively and passionate praise and worship; the powerful Word of God; gifts of the Spirit are operating and the wonderful fellowship of the believers. After every meeting there are at least 30 minutes of informal fellowship.

Sometimes celebrations are in the form of m-eatings. People bring along something to eat and drink and we put everything on the table. All of us then partake of a love-meal, while we mingle and have fellowship with each other. Everything takes place in a festive atmosphere and God is glorified!
You are more than welcome to visit us, celebrate with us and experience God’s presence and power!

Statement of Faith

Someone once stated “There are certain basic Christian truths about which there must be agreement. On all other doctrines, there should be liberty. In all things, there must be charity.”
We take an uncompromising stand on what we believe are the basic truths in the Word of God. We therefore make known our belief on these, while presenting them with love and tolerance toward those who may hold a different position.
We believe in one Triune God: God the Father, The Lord Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Divine inspiration and authority of the 66 books of the Holy Bible as the complete canon of God’s testimony to mankind. Salvation is a free gift available to any person through the Blood of Jesus. We believe that water baptism should be by immersion and accomplished after commitment to the Lordship of Jesus and His atoning sacrifice for our sin.God has only good plans for us and wants us to have life in abundance here on earth as well as everlasting life in heaven. We accept, acknowledge, encourage and seek all the Biblical gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit as present and vital for the church to accomplish her full purpose today. We believe in the literal, physical return of the Lord Jesus Christ to take authority and rule in glory forever.
